Lost Irish whiskey made its debut in the United States in 2021. This whiskey is the brainchild of Tim Herlihy, a former Tullamore Dew ambassador and Neil Sans, an entrepreneur.
Herlihy spent nearly a decade as Tullamore Dew U.S ambassador, where he helped to grow the brand's presence in the market. Sands on the other hand is a serial entrepreneur who has been involved in various ventures. According to his LinkedIn profile, he currently serves as the Chief Experience Officer for Forbes Australia.
"We wanted to launch first in the U.S. market because we saw Lost Irish as an opportunity to share a more accurate view and reflection of Ireland with bartenders and drinkers around the world," - Herlihy said at the brand's 2022 launch in Ireland. - "Our brand was born out of years of exploring, discovering how the world perceives all things Irish and witnessing how the Irish influence the world. It was this idea that helped us create our whiskey and bring something unique to life".
Lost Irish is a complex and worldly whiskey that has gained recognition for its focus on mixology and unique recipe. It is a triple-distilled whiskey that, as its official page states, embraces the three styles of Irish whiskey while embodying the wandering Irish spirit. Born in Ireland, lost in the world.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Initially, there are sweet and fruity notes (apple, pear, banana), nothing out of the ordinary, but as we delve deeper, it's akin to a symphony of grains. Various sensations reminiscent of hay, malt, moss, straw, even corn, without any one dominating. With some herbal notes.
Palate: Medium-bodied but quite sugary. Spicy notes (mainly cinnamon), some raisins, peach, and butter cookie.
Finish: Short, resinous, and sweet.
The nose is quite rich, perhaps a bit more than one can perceive, quite pleasant. On the palate, it's enjoyable, easy to drink without any objectionable notes, a straightforward drink reflecting a young whiskey. Overall, it could be considered slightly spicy but not as well-balanced as the sweetness feels overwhelming to the others. With water, a lemony citrus note and the grain stand out.
